Corporate Finance Transactions in the Greater China Region

Foreseeing China's emerging role as the manufacturing hub of the world and an economic powerhouse in Asia, NewCap Partners began to develop its investment banking business in the Greater China Region in 1991 and established an office in Beijing in 1998 to assist its US based team of investment bankers.

NewCap Partners has established a strategic alliance with China Chengxin Financial Consultancy Co., Ltd. to better serve the investment banking needs of both US and Chinese clients.  China Chengxin Financial Consultancy Co., Ltd. is the Investment Banking Division of China Chengxin (http://www.ccxc.com.cn/index-e.htm), China's largest corporate bond and credit rating company that has financial information on thousands of Chinese companies.  NewCap Partners works very closely with China Chengxin on transborder transaction between US and Chinese companies.  This complementary cooperative relationship benefits our US based clients because we have the ability to very effectively identify, screen assist with due diligence and close transactions with Chinese companies.  Our relationship with China Chengxin also gives us a strong understanding of the cultural differences and business restrictions related to conducting business in the Greater China Region.

NewCap Partners has completed a number of transactions for US based companies including:
  • Distribution relationships allowing our US clients to sell their products in China.
  • Contract manufacturing relationships allowing our US clients to manufacture products in China.
  • Collaborative research and development relationships jointly pursuing technologies together.
  • Corporate strategic investments whereby our US clients invest in a Chinese company in exchange for an equity position.
  • Acquisitions by our US clients of Chinese company.
